The \\MSFTRNCS Computer is a small machine. It is a 486DX2-66 with 16 megabytes of RAM, 1.2 gigabytes of hard drive space which is nearly full, and a 28.8 kilobit-per-second connection to Midlands Net. It runs the Microsoft Windows 95 operating system, Microsoft Personal Web Server, and a handfull of other utility software along with the MS-DOS based Portal of Power and Renegade BBS.
The \\MSFTRNCS computer can be accessed in a number of ways, as shown below, which include SMB Networking (NETBIOS Over TCP-IP or Microsoft Networking), Hyper Text Transfer Protocol (HTTP), and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) along with the TELNET protocol and a few others.
